🌞 Eternal Sunshine Installation Guide

[No mod/no DLC version]

If you don't have any mods or DLC installed, use this method:

  • Download the **Eternal Sunshine** file in the top file section and unzip it
  • Search and open the **main directory** of "Elden's Circle" (where your .exe file is located)
  • Steam default path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\game
  • Create a backup of the original regulation.bin file
  • Open the **Eternal Sunshine Installation** folder in the download folder
  • Copy the regulation.bin file in the **Eternal Sunshine installation** folder to the main directory of "Elden Ring" and **overwrite** the file
  • **Done! Enjoy the sunny weather ;)**

---

[Recommended] [Mod/DLC version]

If you have any mods installed and/or have DLC, use this method:

  • Download Smithbox from or Github and unzip it
  • Download the **Eternal Sunshine** file in the top file section and unzip it
  • Search and open "Elden's Circle" **Main Directory**
  • Create a backup of the original regulation.bin file
  • Create a new folder wherever you want and name it **Smithbox Output**
  • Open the downloaded Smithbox folder and search for **smithbox.exe**
  • **Double click/launch it** and follow the instructions

---

🔄 Uninstall instructions

If you still have backups:

Simply replace the modified regulation.bin in the Elden Ring home directory with the **original regulation.bin backup** you created earlier.

If you further modified regulation.bin after installing the weather module:

If you have used Smithbox before, delete all files in the Smithbox Output folder.

Then scroll up and follow the same instructions as [Modded/DLC Versioned], but this time using the WeatherLotParam.csv in the Eternal Sunshine Uninstaller folder.

This will return the changed weather parameters to normal without changing anything else in regulation.bin.

If you no longer have a backup copy:

**If you don't own any DLC:**

Use regulation.bin from the uninstall folder

**If you own the DLC:**

Delete regulation.bin in the main directory of "Elden's Circle". Now go to steam, right click on Elden's Circle and go to properties. Look for the "Verify integrity of game files" option and click on it. Steam will now check your game files and automatically download any missing files.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
