eternal night
🌙 *Let the moonlight of the junction always shine on your journey*
Do you often encounter these problems?
- Keep missing events that can only be triggered at night because of an unexpected death that resets time to morning?
- Tired of having to rest and adjust the time at the blessing point every time after being defeated by the night exclusive BOSS?
- Rarely get the chance to enjoy the stunning views and landscapes under the moonlight?
- Or just want to enjoy the huge stealth bonus you get at night?
So, welcome to experience: **Eternal Night**!

🌌Permanent dark function
This feature keeps the game in night time forever. Any attempt to change the time to daytime will be immediately restored. This includes:
- Rebirth after death
- Adjust the time at the blessing point
- Use Homecoming Teardrops
**Two modes available:**
- The cycle starts at dusk (22 o'clock) and resets near dawn (5 o'clock)
- Loop starts at midnight and lasts three hours
💡 Note: Time will still pass without using other mods, so there will be an obvious instantaneous switching effect when the mod restores time.
---
💡 Smart lantern
In the original game, the following actions would annoyingly turn off the handy lantern:
- Rebirth after death
- Any type of teleport or reload
**This module provides two solutions:**
- **Auto-reequip on death** - If you die while the lantern is active, it will automatically re-equip (teleporting will still turn it off)
- **Always Auto-Equip** - The lantern will be automatically equipped as long as it is in the player's inventory
- The lantern can be disabled by storing it in a treasure chest
- This means that items cannot be used to turn off the lantern
---
🔥 Torch adjustment
- **All torches** can now change combat ash to non-combat skill, making it easier for the off-hand to use
- **Firehandle** can now be replaced with war ashes and can be enhanced, similar to the Giant's Hammer (another weapon that can be enhanced with a small amount of fire damage)

📥 Installation Guide
It is recommended to use ModEngine2 to install this module.
**Permanent Darkness and Smart Lantern:**
Download the shared file and select the option you want by browsing the folder structure to find the 'event' folder. Move this folder into ModEngine2's mod folder and launch the game using ModEngine2.
**Torch adjustment:**
Download the corresponding file, move regulation.bin to the mod folder of ModEngine, and then use ModEngine2 to start the game. Alternatively, if you know how, you can use csv to merge the changes with other regulation.bin changes.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
