Staminizer Animations for Elden Ring

🎯 Module function

Added AnimSpeedGradient TAE events to the animations of multiple (mainly late-stage) enemies, slowing down their movements at critical moments. The goal is to increase the weight of enemies and bring their speed closer to the fast enemy pace in Dark Souls 1.

👥 Affected enemies

  • **God Skin Noble/Apostle**
  • **Fire Giant** (Tumbling distance should be reduced)
  • **Malykis/Beast Priest**
  • **Black Knife Assassin**
  • **Malkit/Mongert**
  • **Hybrid/Lion Hybrid**
  • **Lion Guard**
  • **Hound Knight**
  • **Lava Earth Dragon**
  • **Falling Star Beast**
  • **Marlenia**
  • **Dragon Soldier**
  • ** Attendant **

There are more enemies!

⚡ Quick installation

🔧 Install as a standalone module

  • Download ModEngine2 and install it
  • Extract the "mod_staminizeder" folder from Staminizer Animations and put it into the ModEngine2 root directory
  • Open "config_eldenring.toml" with a text editor
  • Find the mods section and modify it to:

```toml
mods = [
{ enabled = true, name = "default", path = "mod" },
{ enabled = true, name = "staminizer", path = "mod_staminizeder" }
]
```

  • Save the configuration file and run the "launchmod_eldenring.bat" test

💡 Usage suggestions

This setup places Staminizer Animations at the bottom of the mod loading order, meaning it will be loaded last and therefore takes precedence over any previous mods. If you want to add other mods, it is recommended to put it on top of Staminizer Animations.

🎮 **Game experience**: This module makes enemy movements more weighty and the combat rhythm closer to the classic "Dark Souls 1" style, bringing a familiar challenging experience to veteran players!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
