🌧️ Endless Rain Installation
🎯 **You only need to follow one of the two installation methods below, depending on the conditions you meet**
🔧 Installation method 1: No module/no DLC version
If you don't have any mods or DLC installed:
- Download the **Endless Rain** file in the file section at the top and unzip it
- Search and open the **main directory** of "Elden's Circle" (where your .exe file is located)
- Steam default path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\game
- Create a backup of the original regulation.bin file
- Open the **Endless Rain installation** folder in the download folder, copy the regulation.bin file to the main directory of "Elden Circle" and **overwrite** the file
- **Done! Enjoy the weather ;)**
🌟 [Recommended] Installation method two: with module/with DLC version
If you have any mods installed and/or have DLC:
This is a guide for manually installing mods using Smithbox. Don't worry, it's really easy! It looks harder than it is, just because I explained it in detail :-)
- Download Smithbox from or Github and unzip it
- Download the **Endless Rain** file in the file section at the top and unzip it
- Search and open the **Main Directory** of "Elden's Circle"
- Create a backup of the original regulation.bin file
- Create a new folder wherever you want (e.g. on the desktop or in Program Files) and name it **Smithbox Output**
- Open the downloaded Smithbox folder and search for **smithbox.exe**
- **Double click/launch it** and follow the instructions

🗑️ Uninstall instructions
🎯 **You only need to follow one of the uninstall methods below, depending on the conditions you meet**
If you still have a backup:
Simply replace the modified regulation.bin in the Elden Ring home directory with the **original regulation.bin backup** you created earlier
If you have further modified regulation.bin with other mods after installing the weather mod and do not want to lose them now:
If you have used Smithbox before, delete all files in the Smithbox output folder. From here, you scroll up again and follow the same instructions as for installing the [Modded/DLC Version], but this time using the WeatherLotParam.csv found in the Endless Rain Uninstaller folder. This will set the changed weather parameters back to normal without changing anything else in the regulation bin. **The CSV in the uninstall folder** is the original weather parameters for game version 1.16, for the base game and DLC
If you no longer have a backup copy (and the above method doesn't work for you), choose one of the following two:
**If you don't have any DLC:** Use regulation.bin from the uninstall folder. The regulation.bin in the uninstall folder is only for game version 1.16 without any DLC backup, so if you have any DLC, please do not use the regulation.bin in the uninstall folder
**If you own the DLC:** Delete regulation.bin in the main directory of Elden's Circle. Now go to steam, right click on Elden's Circle and go to properties. Look for the "Verify integrity of game files" option and click on it. Steam now checks your game files and automatically downloads any missing files. This will reset your regulatio …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
