🛠️ Installation Guide
**Main method (requires modengine):**
- Place the files into the mod folder
- Modify settings.ini to adjust settings (such as dialogue frequency, role selection, etc.)
- Run EldenEncouragement.exe
- Encouraging subtitles will start to display
💡 *Tip: When the program is running normally, the game will automatically start and display "Welcome back, Fader"*
**Alternative method (no modengine required):**
- Start the Elden Ring game first
- Then run EldenEncouragement.exe
⚠️ *Note: This method may cause a control conflict and may require multiple attempts*
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
In order to obtain enemy status data, this module uses special technology, and Windows Defender may cause false alarms. It is recommended to add exclusions in Windows Defender to ensure the program runs properly.
**Never run EldenHelper.exe alone**, otherwise it will need to be closed manually in Task Manager.
The program requires administrator privileges to read game data. You may receive a warning when running for the first time. Please click "More Info" and then "Run Anyway".
🔄 Reset event
This mod will track and save in-game events to avoid repetitive conversations. When playing a new game+ or using a new character, simply delete or move the saved_stats.json file to reset event recording.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
