Elden Auto Turn

🎯 Core Functions

**Auto Steering System** - Just move the mouse horizontally and the character will automatically face the front of the camera!

This AutoHotkey script allows the character's direction to follow the horizontal movement of the camera, providing a new control experience for players who like non-target melee combat styles.

---

⚙️ Configuration instructions

**IMPORTANT**: It is unlikely that the script will work out of the box, expect it to take at least 15 minutes to configure. Detailed instructions are in the script file, please read from the top of the file until the end of the configuration section.

**Default Hotkeys**:

  • Shift + Q: enable/disable automatic steering
  • The script also supports automatic on/off function

After the configuration is complete, use AutoHotkey to start the script.

✨ Latest Features

**Version 1.4.5**: Greatly improved the direction recognition of roll/dodge/backstep to avoid direction confusion!

**Version 1.4.0**: Added hotkey setting function for the second weapon skill (off by default)

---

🎮 How it works

**Simple Mechanism**: Scan horizontal movement and briefly press the W key (forward) to adjust the character's orientation. The script handles all problematic input interactions with as little disruption as possible.

**Supported Actions**:

  • Normal attack
  • Attack combos
  • Charged attack
  • Charge skills
  • Attack sequence

**Smart Adjustment**:

  • Automatically disable forward direction adjustment when holding a shield
  • Also disabled during all movement actions
  • Doesn't randomly change your direction

---

⚠️ Notes

**Non-charged skill aiming**: It works well if facing forward, but the timing may be out of sync when turning quickly. Best practice is to press the d-pad when you're ready to cast an ability.

**Known Issues**:

  • The forward direction may be lost during continuous attacks, combos, and combos
  • Rotate the camera during a charged attack, but attacks/skills are still released in the direction of the character

**Solution**: You can help improve it by pressing W or other direction keys yourself, or adjusting the configuration time.

❓ FAQ

**Is this cheating? **

Definitely not in the base configuration. The script does not use any complex input macros to improve game performance, but only implements functions that should be done by a checkbox in the game.

**Online Game Suitability**:

It's unclear whether this will be considered cheating, so please use it with caution.

🎯 Usage suggestions

This script is especially suitable for players who want a smoother, more intuitive melee experience. No need to use target lock frequently, making your combat more natural and smooth!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
