Durable Armor
🛡️ Module function
In the original game, spells were far superior to armor in terms of damage reduction and toughness. Even wearing the complete **Exiled Knight Set**, you can only get about 36% physical damage reduction, 27% non-physical damage reduction and 60 points of toughness, which can only help you withstand light attacks from weak enemies. This is not considered heavy armor at all!
This mod multiplies the physical damage reduction of all armor components by 1.5 times and the non-physical damage reduction by 1.35 times. Now, the complete **Exiled Knight Set** will provide about 50% physical damage reduction and 34% non-physical damage reduction, greatly improving your survivability, but it will not make you invincible.
⚔️ Toughness improvements
For the toughness part, I recommend using the Better Poise mod, which is very balanced in its own right.
📥 Installation method

❓ FAQ
**Q: Will this mod affect NPCs, enemies and ashes summons? **
A: Only affects humanoid creatures that meet the following conditions:
- Height is about the same as an average fader
- No interactable corpses left behind when dying
- Use the same move set as the player
**Unaffected example:**
- Humanoids that are taller than you (such as Gorek Knight, Exiled Knight, Black Blade Assassin, and Blaze)
- Humanoids that leave interactable corpses when they die (e.g. Gryk soldiers)
**Q: How to merge modifications? **
You can copy this mod's changes using the Yapped Rune Bear tool:
- Browse to **EquipParamProtector**
- Use **Tools -> Field Adjuster** and enter the following values:
- *Fields to adjust:* **Absorption - Physical**
- *Formula:* **1 - (1 - x) * 1.5**
- Click Apply
- Repeat the same operation for **Absorption-Slash**, **Absorption-Strike**, **Absorption-Thrust**
- For non-physical damage reduction, the field names are: **Absorb-Magic**, **Absorb-Fire**, **Absorb-Thunder**, **Absorb-Holy**
⚠️ **Note:** The damage reduction in the data is represented by a number between 0-1, 0.8 means 20% damage absorption. If you want to increase damage reduction, you need to decrease this value. Don't overdo it or you might make some humanoid enemies unkillable.

**The module has been updated to version v1.05**
If I haven't updated it in time, you can always copy these changes in a new version of regulation.bin using the method above.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
