Dragon Knight Helmet Remake
🎮 An appearance replacement module for the Dragon Knight helmet, which also affects the modified version
✨ Major changes
- **Symmetrical dragon horn design**: Replace the top single horn with symmetrical dragon horns growing from both sides, extending backward, and the shape is closer to the real dragon horn
- **Facial Shield Enhancement**: Add a shield to the lower half of the helmet to cover the original mouth opening
- **Neck Armor Optimization**: Shorten the length of the neck armor spikes to make them more compact, and replace the texture to remove some scratches and wear marks
🎭 Transformation version description
The modified version still changes the horns and neck armor, but leaves the mouth uncovered. Consider that players may be using the modified version to see more of the character's face, and that without the hood it would require more shields to look appropriate.
📥 Installation Guide
First unzip the downloaded .rar file, which contains a "parts" folder, which contains the .dcx file of the module.
**ModEngine2 users:**
Place the "parts" folder into the Mod Engine's "mod" folder. If you already have the "parts" folder of other modules, you can also directly put the .dcx file into it.
**Metis Mod Launcher Users:**
Start the program, enter the "Mods" tab on the left, select "Add from folder", and select the directory where the "parts" folder is stored (note not the "parts" folder itself! The program will automatically find the "parts" folder)
Then go to the "Profiles" tab, select the profile (or create it on first use), scroll down to "Select mods" and select the newly added mod
🎨 Design Concept
This is a suit of armor crafted from the fragments of a dead dragon, worn by the Dragon Hunter/Communicator, to mimic the form of a dragon. If you're going to add horns, why not try to match the look of real dragon horns?
Adding a shield to the lower half of the face not only turns it into a nice salat-esque helmet, but from a practical standpoint, when you're designing armor to fight fire-breathing creatures, you probably won't leave a large area of the flammable face exposed. And since the Dragon Knight is said to have "never said a word since he was born," covering the mouth is also very reasonable in terms of plot settings.
The problem with the neck armor is more subtle: the black paint has been scraped off every edge. This kind of edge wear usually adds to the realism, but on this helmet, even the dented edges are damaged to the same extent, ultimately making the neck armor look like it's covered in spider webs. The original length was too long and looked like the mullet hairstyle from the 1980s.

💡 *Mods have already added symmetrical corners to this helmet, but the corners are still upward, and the holes left by removing the original corners are patched a bit haphazardly*
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
