Dairy Reshade

🌟 What is Dairy Reshade?

"Dairy Reshade" is the reshade preset I personally use when playing Elden's Circle. The idea is to improve overall clarity by enhancing the game's otherwise somewhat bland graphics.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE

  • **In-game brightness** please set it to 5, which is the default calibrated brightness value

✨ Main features

  • **More vivid and detailed visual effects** 🎨
  • **Compatible with HUD, menu and interface** 🖥️
  • **Designed specifically to work with color grading/lighting remastering mods** 🌈
  • **Minimal impact on graphics performance! ** ⚡

📝 Design Concept

Some areas of "Elden's Circle" (such as the forest) originally had a darker tone, which did not go well with Reshade's LUT color filter. There are now **visual modules** that can directly modify game map files to affect color and lighting.

Unlike other Reshades that go for a gloomy atmosphere, I chose a more general approach - just enhancing what's already on the screen to remain compatible with future lighting/color reshaping mods.

📋 Update log

**v4 (March 19)**: Reshade simplified to focus more on detail rendering and overall image fidelity

**v3.5 (November 22)**: Changed adaptive tone mapper to Filmic, removed debanding effect

**v3.4 (June 25)**: Incorporates improvements from Eeshaan1985 for a softer look using the Reinhard tone mapper

**v3.3 (June 25)**: Reduce glow, remove vibrance shader, soften brightness levels

**v3.2 (June 23)**: Adjust the coordination of HDR and shadows/midtones/highlights to enhance vividness

**v3.1 (May 19)**: Minor adjustments, adding color banding filter

**v3 (April 22)**: Completely reworked, no longer overly bright, adjusted color balance

**v2**: Replace HDR effects to avoid strong contrast and rearrange the order of effects

**v1**: initial version

🛠️ Installation Guide

  • **Extract the "1-dairy-init.ini" file from the downloaded ZIP file**
  • **Download and open the ReShade installer:
  • **Point to the "Eldenring" game executable file (eldenring.exe) in the installer**
  • **Select DirectX10/11/12 API**
If you have another Reshade installed, select **Uninstall** to get a fresh setup
Select the extracted **"1-dairy-init.ini"** file when installing the preset
When selecting an effects pack, find **Insane-Shaders** and click twice to show the check mark
Done! Reshade compiles the shader when launching Elden's Circle. Press the **Home button** to open the Reshade HUD adjustment effect

🎮 Usage suggestions

This preset is designed to provide clear and natural graphics enhancements, especially for players who want to maintain the authentic feel of their games while improving visual quality. Works well with various lighting mods!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
