CAELUM - The Ultimate Visual Portfolio

🎮 **Bringing next-generation visual experience to Elden Ring**

introduce

If you're like me and want to play Elden's Circle in a more realistic visual aesthetic, with more immersive graphics, and have a good device that can handle these enhancement mods, then this graphics preset I created will satisfy your needs.

---

What is CAELUM?

Caelum is a Reshade preset that has been developed and tested for nearly a year and is designed to achieve the closest look to other next-gen games like Demon's Souls PS5 without having to use very resource-intensive options like ray tracing. The goal is to provide the best balance between visuals and performance.

Not only that, but I also created this preset to work with my Nvidia AI filter settings through the Nvidia app. The final combination of tools (Reshade and Nvidia app) provides very pleasing visual effects!

---

Default version

There are three versions of my Caelum preset:

🔹 Low configuration version

  • No ambient occlusion, depth of field or additional object clarity and lighting effects
  • Performance impact: 5-8 frames

🔹 Medium version

  • Includes ambient occlusion, but no depth of field, object clarity and other lighting effects
  • Performance impact: 8-10 frames

🔹 High-end version

  • Contains all effects, is the most beautiful preset, and is also the most expensive in terms of performance
  • Performance impact: 10-14 frames
  • 💥** Performance consumption is large but the effect is excellent! **

Visual enhancements

🎨 Color tone adjustment

No more special tints, making color gradients and contrasts more natural.

**Hue On**

**Hue Off**

🌙 Darker Night

The nights in Elden's Circle don't seem dark enough, possibly due to the golden tree or the game engine itself. Nights are now appropriately dark and more immersive, giving you greater use for your torch or personal lamp and creating a spookier atmosphere for dungeons and caves.

💡 Lighting improvements

Adjustments have been made to lights, flames, overall glow, exposure, and the colors of campfires and candles to bring them closer to a cinematic look.

🌳 More ambient occlusion

  • Ask: "How much do you want to add?"

A: "All!"

  • But not too exaggerated

**Color filter settings**

**Detail filter settings**

**Brightness/Contrast Settings**

Recommended modules

While not a requirement for my presets to work, using *nullfractal*'s "Neutral Color Grading" mod is highly recommended so that the final look will be exactly the same as the previously shown image.

Other mods used in screenshots

  • "Texture improvements" (all files are 4K versions)
  • "Camera Offset"
  • "Force dynamic shadows"

Acknowledgments

Even though this is just a simple Reshade mod and small setup guide, I spent a lot of time getting the best results. If you like it, please consider donating to support my work.

Thank you very much and have fun!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
