Size and Speed Rebalance

🎯 Module Introduction

This mod was originally created to complement the ERFPS mod. In first-person, facing an enemy that is much larger than you can be irritating or stressful. This mod makes the first-person experience more comfortable without relying on connections or summons. Of course, it can also be used independently.

⚖️ Balance adjustment

By adjusting the size of the creatures, this mod will naturally make the game relatively simple - limiting the enemy's mobility and attack range, while increasing the player's advantage. The only ones that are largely unaffected are NPC invaders, as they scale at the same scale as the player.

I'm currently adjusting the animation speeds of various enemies to compensate for their reduced attack range and even get their mobility back to vanilla levels or higher.

🔧 Technical Description

  • Fixed animations such as pulling levers, opening doors, and grabbing attacks may look strange due to body size changes
  • Cloth effects do not match the adjusted model because they are not scaled with the model
  • This module will not enlarge the weapon of the Faded One, it is recommended to be used with the "Longer Weapon" module

📥 Installation method

**Mod Loader installation:**

  • Place the Mod Loader file into the game directory
  • Place Size.dll into the "Mods" folder
  • Activate the Elden Circle

**Mod Engine 2 Installation:**

(This method is required to use the animation adjustment feature)

  • Place the Mod Engine file into the game directory
  • Place the Chr folder containing animation files into the "mod" folder
  • Place Size.dll into the game directory
  • Use the Config_Eldenring file provided by this module to replace the file that comes with the Mod Engine.
  • Use Launchmod_Eldenring to launch the game

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
