When anti-cheat is disabled, you cannot play the game online. This tool is not a workaround for EasyAntiCheat and will not help you play games online using a modified client. It's just for easy switching between modded and non-modded games.
How safe is this?
Totally safe. The anti-cheat feature is completely turned off and won't penalize you for it even if you turn it back on. However, if you decide to re-enable anti-cheat after the fact, I cannot guarantee that anti-cheat will not detect the modified save (infinite runes, super gear, etc.).
Install:
Place the contents of "ToggleAntiCheat.zip" in your game folder, for example: "G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game\".
usage:
Just run "toggle_anti_cheat.exe" and it will disable EAC and open any installed DLL mods. Run the .exe again to re-enable anti-cheat and disable all DLL mods, allowing you to play online again without issues.
Offline launcher:
If you don't care about switching, you can use "start_game_in_offline_mode.exe" to launch the game directly in offline mode. This will make the game behave the same way as if you turned off anti-cheat. You can create a shortcut on your desktop by right-clicking on the .exe and clicking "Send to" -> "Desktop (Create Shortcut)"
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
