🛠️ **Custom modification tutorial**
While more advanced tools may now be available, Elden's Circle mod documentation is relatively fragmented. I pieced together this method by consulting the comment section and the aggregation mod Discord.
**Basic process:**
- Download and install Yabber tool
- Navigate to the chr folder of the aggregation module
- Use Yabber to unpack the `c0000.anibnd` file
- Find the player animation file in the tae folder
- Replace the a00.tae file of the target module (corresponding to the scroll animation)
- Repackage the file to complete the modification
💡 **Technical Note:** All player animations are stored in a single `c0000.anibnd` file, which is why this replacement method is needed - directly replacing the entire file will lose all custom animations for the aggregate mod.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
