Adjusted NG Poise Scaling and Helmet Overhaul

🎯Mod Overview

This module is mainly aimed at optimizing the game experience after completing the first pass. By adjusting the new game posture scaling and comprehensively improving the helmet system, the multi-game game will be more interesting and balanced!

🛡️ Helmet system overhaul

I find that players tend to maximize damage or damage reduction rates in PVE. The few helmets that offer extremely high damage bonuses leave us with only about five options to choose from, which limits the variety of the game.

**Improvements:**

  • Added attribute bonuses or special effects to all helmets that originally had no attribute bonuses
  • The only exception is the bull-headed goat helmet
  • Helmets with new special effects will display a new effect description field
  • If it is just an attribute bonus, the value change will only be displayed when hovering to view the item.

⚔️ New weekly posture scaling adjustment

After playing NG1-7, I found that there are some problems with enemy posture scaling. The inability to break defense in the late game (NG+4 and beyond) really constrains the gameplay style that relies on critical strikes, which greatly reduces the fun of the game.

**Adjustment plan:**

  • Keep the scaling of other new weekly projects unchanged
  • Unify the posture values of all enemies from NG+2 to +7 to the same level
  • Make crit-reliant playstyles still viable in the late game

✨ Added special effects

After seeing the interesting effect of deflecting hard dew drops, I added this effect to:

  • Cloak of the Fallen Harbinger
  • Fire Dragon Emblem Talisman (+0 version)

💡 Usage suggestions

This mod is especially suitable for players who want to try different helmet combinations in multiple games. Now you can choose a helmet based on appearance and personal preference without having to sacrifice style for optimal attributes!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
