- 1.1.2
+ RemoveBuildRangeLimit, LargerAreaForUpgradeAndDismantle and LargerAreaForTerraform are moved to UXAssist
- 1.1.1
+ Fixed crash in LargeAreaForTerraform functions.
- 1.1.0
+ Added RemoveBuildRangeLimit, LargerAreaForUpgradeAndDismantle and LargerAreaForTerraform options (Check Usage for details).
Usage
- Inspired by FastDrones, but patching IL codes, consuming less CPU to reduce lags on massive builds especially blueprints' put.
- Does not affect current game-saves, which means:
- All values are patched in memory but written to game-saves so that you can play with normal mecha drone parameters while disabling this MOD.
- You can take benefit from this MOD on any game-saves after enabling this MOD.
- Config entries:
- [MechaDrones]
- UseFixedSpeed [Default Value: false]:
- If enabled: Use FixedSpeed for mecha drones, which makes related Upgrades not used any more.
- If disabled: Use SpeedMultiplier for mecha drones.
- SkipStage1 [Default Value: false]: Skip mecha drones' 1st stage (flying away from mecha in ~1/3 speed for several frames).
- RemoveSpeedLimitForStage1 [Default Value: true]: Remove speed limit for 1st stage (has a speed limit @ ~10m/s originally).
- FixedSpeed [Default Value: 300]: Fixed flying speed for mecha drones.
- SpeedMultiplier [Default Value: 4]: Speed multiplier for mecha drones.
- EnergyMultiplier [Default Value: 0.1]: Energy consumption multiplier for mecha drones.
- Note: This MOD will disable FastDrones if the MOD is installed, to avoid conflict in functions.

Instructions for use
- The function refers to FastDrones, but it mainly patches the IL code so it consumes less CPU. Especially during large-scale construction such as placing blueprints, it can greatly reduce lag.
- Does not affect the current game save:
- All modified parameters are in memory and the patch will not be written to the archive. After disabling this MOD, normal construction machine parameters can be restored.
- After enabling this MOD, you can enjoy parameter changes on the saved game files you have played.
- Setting options:
- [MechaDrones]
- UseFixedSpeed [Default: false]:
- Enable: Use FixedSpeed, fixed speed, which will override the upgrade value corresponding to the speed of the mecha construction machine.
- Disabled: Use SpeedMultiplier
- SkipStage1 [Default: false]: Skip the first stage of the construction machine's take-off (flying out of the mech at about 1/3 speed for several frames).
- RemoveSpeedLimitForStage1 [Default: true]: Remove the speed limit for the first stage (originally about 10m/s limit).
- FixedSpeed [Default: 300]: Fixed speed.
- SpeedMultiplier [Default: 4]: Speed multiplier.
- EnergyMultiplier [Default: 0.1]: Energy consumption multiple.
- Note: If FastDrones is installed, this MOD will disable it to avoid functional conflicts.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
