Technical description
This MOD uses four layers of insurance to ensure unlimited sand effects:
- Patch Player.SetSandCount method, any operation to modify sand will be intercepted
- Patch the Player.sandCount property to always return the maximum value when reading.
- Patch the BuildTool_Reform.GetNeedSandCountByInc method to return 0 when calculating the need for sand.
- Forcibly set the amount of sand every 0.5 seconds to prevent other MODs from modifying it.
Things to note
- This is a sandbox auxiliary MOD that may affect game balance
- Just delete InfiniteSoil.dll when uninstalling, it will not affect the archive
- Compatible with other BepInEx MODs
Uninstall method
Deleting the BepInEx/plugins/InfiniteSoil.dll file will restore normalcy.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
