About this mod Machine translation
Icarus Gardening / Icarus Gardening
Icarus has recently taken up a new hobby: planting trees. Maybe when people reach middle age, their spare time life has to change a little, but this time it's not fishing, but gardening. The factories are getting bigger and bigger, but the planet full of conveyor belts and machines is becoming more and more monotonous. In order to respond to the national call for scientific greening and conscientiously implement the "Guiding Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Scientific Greening", this engineer who travels among the stars decided to take the enthusiasm for urban greening all the way to the depths of the Milky Way. Conveyor belts can circle the planet, and furnaces can light up the night, but there should also be a forest beyond the steel. Build a space factory and improve the planet's environment at the same time, making every industrial planet a little more green, and leaving a place for busy Icarus to relax for a while.
This mod brings the native plant placement functionality from the sandbox mode of "Dyson Sphere Project" to the regular game mode. It directly reuses the "Sandbox Tools" entrance and native plant panel in the lower right corner of the game, without adding a separate start button or setting interface, allowing plant selection, preview, rotation, placement and removal to maintain the original operation methods as much as possible.
With the exception of plant-related tools, vein placement, infinite items, and other sandbox features are still unavailable.
Main functions
- Place plants using native sandbox tool buttons in regular mode.
- Inherit the native plant panel, classification button, model preview, rotation and placement logic.
- The native surface removal tool is open, but it only allows the removal of vegetation, not mineral veins.
- Supports proportional scaling of selected plants, ranging from 0.1x to 30x.
- Real-time display of the current zoom ratio in the plant list title.
How to use
After entering the normal mode to save:
- Click the "Sandbox Tools" button on the native location in the lower right corner of the game.
- Use the native category button to select a plant category.
- After selecting the plant, preview, rotate and place it in the original way of the game.
- When it’s time to clean up vegetation, choose the native Surface Removal Tool. In normal mode the tool is fixed to only remove vegetation.
plant scaling
| Operation | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| Q | Zoom 0.1x |
| E | Zoom out 0.1x |
| Press and hold Q or E | Continuously zoom in or out |
| Shift + Q/E | 0.5x each adjustment |
| Ctrl + Q/E | Fine adjustment 0.01x each time |
When holding down Ctrl and Shift at the same time, the fine adjustment step size of Ctrl shall prevail. After switching to another plant, the multiplier reverts to 1.00x.

Archiving and cheat detection
This module will not switch regular archives to sandbox mode, nor will it modify the status of sandbox tools, achievement switches, or exception records, and it will not turn off the game's global cheating and exception detection.
The module only opens up the functional scope required for native plant placement and vegetation removal. If a game update changes the relevant native logic, the module will stop enabling and report an error in the BepInEx log, instead of trying to enable unknown sandbox functionality.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
