Zombie Grab Range Reducer

🎯 Module function

This mod gives you complete control over your zombie's grabbing attack mechanics! You can choose:

  • **Completely disable grabbing**: completely get rid of the worry of being caught by zombies
  • **Adjust grab distance**: reduce the default 1.7 meters to a more reasonable 1.3 meters

💡 **It is recommended to use the 1.3 meter version**, the original distance is 1.7 meters

⚠️ Notes

  • Only affects zombies (called "biters" in the code)
  • Does not affect other enemy types that can grab you

📦 Installation Guide

  • Select a data2.pak file from the folder
  • If you want to adjust the grabbing distance to 1.3 meters, select data2.pak in the 1.3m folder
  • Place the selected data2.pak file in the same folder as data0.pak and data1.pak
  • Example path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light The Beast\ph_ft\source
  • If the data2.pak file already exists, rename the new file to the next available number
  • For example: data3.pak, data4.pak, and so on

---

🎮 **Game experience improvement**: No longer frequently caught by zombies due to unreasonable grabbing distance, making the journey of survival smoother!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
