A simple little mod manager I made for installing mods and tracking management
Crappy Mod Manager
🎮 Function introduction
This simple mod manager I made is specifically used to install mods and help players better track and manage various mod files.
⚙️ Main functions
- **Automatically identify game module folder**: Find the mod folder of the Steam version of the game by default, but supports custom path configuration
- **Drag and drop installation**: Just drag the pak file into the window to install it automatically, and the system will assign it a data# number
- **Module tag management**: You can set a nickname and source link for each module to facilitate tracking module information and obtaining location
- **Quick Enable/Disable**: After selecting the module, click the activate/deactivate button to easily manage it
- **Delete function**: Supports one-click deletion of unnecessary modules
📝 Instructions for use
Although initial attempts to optimize support for compressed files failed to fully materialize, the current version is already running stably. The manager automatically handles the installation and number assignment of modules, giving you a clear understanding of where each module comes from and what it is used for.
🔮 Future Plans
In subsequent updates, I plan to add an update detection function to help players obtain the latest version information of the module in a timely manner.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
