No more slow sideways movement
Lateral movement and diagonal forward movement now match the forward movement speed
About this mod Machine translation
Lateral movement and diagonal forward movement now match the forward movement speed
No More Slow Strafe
✨ Features
This mod solves an annoying problem in the game: moving using the "W+A" and "W+D" key combinations is noticeably slower than simply holding down the "W" key. Now, the lateral movement speed has been adjusted to be consistent with the forward movement speed, making the movement experience more smooth and natural!
⚙️ Technical details
The module has modified the following parameters:
- MoveBackwardMaxSpeed (maximum speed for moving backward)
- MoveStrafeMaxSpeed (maximum speed of lateral movement)
- CrouchStrafeMaxSpeed (maximum lateral movement speed in crouching position)
- CrouchBackwardMaxSpeed (maximum speed for backward movement in crouching position)
🔄 Version update
**Updates for version 1.1:**
- Adjust the crouching side movement speed to be consistent with the crouching forward speed
- Slightly increased walking and crouching backward speed
📁 Installation instructions
Place the Data2.pak file in the following directory:
`steamapps\common\Dying Light The Beast\ph_ft\source`
⚠️ Notes
Backward movement speed remains the same, but diagonal backward movement speed has been increased, which may affect game balance in some ways. The author stated that if you feel uncomfortable after using it for a long time, you may further adjust the backward movement speed.

Make your gaming mobile experience smoother and say goodbye to uncoordinated movement speed differences!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
