Multi Monitor Scroll Bleed Fix

🎯 Function fixes

This mod solves the following problems:

  • In full screen or edgeless window mode, the game will lose mouse focus, causing the mouse wheel to scroll background applications (such as Discord, browsers, etc.)
  • Prevent mouse wheel from spilling into other applications by limiting the cursor to the game window

⚙️ How it works

This is a lightweight proxy DLL file that is automatically loaded when the game starts:

  • Check whether "Dying Light: The Beast" is the foreground window
  • If it is a game window, call the Windows built-in "ClipCursor" function to restrict the mouse within the game window.
  • Release the cursor immediately if focus is lost (Alt+Tab or Win key, etc.)

✨ **No sensitivity changes** | **No spurious input** | **No registry modifications** | **No system-level hooks**

🔧 Compatibility

  • **ReShade**: Fully compatible if installed as dxgi.dll
  • **Other Mods**: Safe, will not modify game resources or save files
  • **Online Mode**: Client optimization, usually does not affect online
  • **Anti-Cheat**: Completely safe, the game does not use intrusive anti-cheat

📦 Installation method

  • Find the game installation directory (including DyingLightGame_TheBeast_x64_rwdi.exe)
  • Place the DLL file into this directory

🗑️ Uninstall method

Just delete the added DLL file

❓ FAQ

**Q: Will it change mouse sensitivity or scroll wheel behavior? **

A: No, it only limits the cursor to the game window. In-game sensitivity and weapon switching are not affected at all.

**Q: Does it support full screen and borderless modes? **

A: Both modes are supported

**Q: What should I do if ReShade doesn’t work? **

A: If ReShade is installed as d3d11.dll, you need to wait for the xinput9_1_0.dll version to be transplanted.

⚠️ Known special circumstances

If you use other custom d3d11.dll modules at the same time, you may need to wait for the xinput9_1_0.dll version. In this rare case, you need to choose which module to keep.

📝 Instructions for use

  • Works with any mouse, any DPI/sensitivity setting, any monitor configuration
  • Compatible with overlays and Reshade/mod loaders as no render modifications are involved
  • Alt+Tab or release the cursor immediately when focus is lost

Enjoy a scroll-free Dying Light: The Beast experience!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
