About this mod Machine translation
Make the weapon stay drawn while running, like DL1, and add a stow key to hide/show the weapon
Keep the weapon drawn and retract key bindings
✨ Features
🎮 **DL1 Style Weapon System** - Keep weapons drawn while running, recreating the classic feel of Dying Light 1
🎯 **Customized retract key** - Added special retract key binding, you can hide or show weapons at any time
⚙️ Technical implementation
This module achieves its functions by modifying game files:
- Change the `HideWeaponsDuringSprintDelay` parameter in the `player_variables` file to `-1.0`
- Added `_ACTION_TOGGLE_WEAPON` action in `inputs_keyboard.scr` file
- The default key position is set to C key, but users can customize it
🎮 Instructions for use
**How to modify key positions:**
- Open the `inputs_keyboard.scr` file
- Use the search function to find `AddAction(_ACTION_TOGGLE_WEAPON`
- Find `EKey_C` and change the C to the key you want (for example: EKey_R)
**Note:**
- Fist movements like DL1 are currently not possible
- Numeric keys and keypad key positions may need to refer to other parts of the input file
💡 Usage suggestions
This mod is especially suitable for players who miss the weapon system of "Dying Light 1", making the combat experience more smooth and natural!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
