Be Nice To Your Mon - A Digimon Chat Overhaul BETA
🎮 **Have you ever wished your Digimon felt more like a truly unique companion than a combat unit? **Are you annoyed that most of the options for maintaining a Digimon's personality seem like jerks?
✨ Core Features
🎭 Personality-driven conversations
Your Digimon's core personality now determines *how* they speak, rather than just what attributes are preferred:
🌟 **Courage Digimon** may greet you with bold challenges or brag about their strength; **Like training and pushing limits**
❤️ **Charity Digimon** will ask about your day and express genuine concern; **secretly long for your care**
🤝 **Friendly Digimon** are easy-going and casual, **often make jokes to relieve tension**
📚 **Intelligent Digimon** will provide tactical insights or philosophical reflections; **Be careful - this Digimon is weird and a bookworm**
💬 Completely revamped chat system
Subtle partner conversations triggered after battle now include all-new questions, comments, and reactions that reflect your Digimon's current personality. This greatly increases the variety and relevance of every interaction.
🎤 New character voices and humor
Enjoy conversations that are richer, more interesting, and more self-aware than the original experience. Inspired by the sharp writing of classic *Digimon* anime and modern taming games, I infused thousands of lines of dialogue with real personality and levity. Look out for **strong pop culture references** – it’s up to you to find them!
🔧 Seamless integration
This mod works entirely within the existing game framework, modifying text files to give the illusion of a deeper, more emotional connection with your Digimon companions, without changing any core game mechanics or statistics.
👥Team Camaraderie and Awareness
Dialogue is written by hand, so there may be occasional spelling errors (reports welcome!). Most importantly, I make sure your Digimon know each other and will reference other team members in conversations to really build a sense of team camaraderie.

⚠️ **IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT NOTE**: This mod is currently **under development (1400/3200 dialogues completed)**. Please understand that some dialogue may still be the original "original boring" text.
Currently only **English** is supported. If you want to translate, please feel free to do so. You have my full permission.
🔗 Compatibility
Optional files added containing extra steps for compatibility with DevenMon's Japanese dubbing mod.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
