Just put my ini file into the DMC.exe folder directory.
You will need to use ReShade 4.1.1 or latest version.
You also need to change the game configuration from DX12 to DX11 for it to take effect.
You can modify it directly in the ini in the game directory.
~\steamapps\common\Devil May Cry 5\dmc5config.ini
Change
Capability=DirectX12
TargetPlatform=DirectX12
for
Capability=DirectX11
TargetPlatform=DirectX11
Finally, right-click the file and change it to read-only (this will lock it and the game cannot automatically change to DX12)
If there is a dxgi file, please rename it to d3d11
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
