Force Client To Get Server World

🎮 **Keep your multiplayer maps up to date! **

✨ Core Functions

When you connect to a multiplayer server as a client, for performance and bandwidth reasons, the game will only send information about areas near you or that other players have changed while you're connected (like digging, cutting down trees, etc.). This means that most of your map is stuck in a "pristine" state, as it was when the world was first created, and cannot be updated in real time.

This mod allows you to force download the entire server map. Although this process will cause lag, it only needs to be done once each time you connect to the server (because the server will automatically keep updated after that).

⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING

  • **DO NOT INSIDE A BUILDING** TO PERFORM FORCED UPDATES
  • **Do not enter the building during the update**
  • If the above rules are violated, the game will **severely freeze** and may even **lock**
  • If you go back outside, the lag will at least not get worse, but it won't significantly improve until the process is complete.
  • **Do not use this feature in deep mines** or while sleeping**

💡 **Suggestion**: After starting the update, go chop down trees, chat or take a break and let it complete itself

---

⚙️ Configuration Settings

There is a setting in the configuration file that controls the update speed:

  • **Level 1**: The slowest - takes about 3 minutes to complete, suitable for computers with lower performance
  • **Level 10**: Fastest - takes about 20 seconds to complete, but will cause severe lag

Even with a powerful computer, noticeable stuttering occurs at top speeds. It is recommended to choose the appropriate settings based on your computer performance.

---

🗺️ Map update mechanism

  • After the update is completed, the map image will be **forced to be updated** (only at the end of the update)
  • The map will function normally after that, but most changes will not update automatically
  • It is recommended to use another module of the author **Keep Map Updated** to keep the map continuously refreshed

---

🎯 How to use

  • **Make sure you’re outside**
  • Open the chat window
  • Type `force download world` (spaces and case do not matter)

📌 **IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS**:

  • The command can only be used once per session
  • Cannot be used on multiplayer server hosts or single player games
  • because in these cases you already have an authoritative, up-to-date copy

---

🔧 Installation instructions

This is a standard BepInEx 6 module:

  • Follow the standard Dinkum module installation instructions
  • Place the DLL file into the plugins folder
  • To create a profile, open Dinkum and then close it immediately
  • Modules can be safely removed at any time without affecting archive files

---

📊 Progress display

During the update process, progress information will be displayed on the screen to tell you the percentage of the update complete. There are options in the configuration file to control how often these messages are displayed.

🌟 **Enjoy a more accurate map experience! **

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
