Vintage Soul - Reshaded
Late 80's - Early 90's retro style ReShade Preset. This is also a better updated version of my other retro type presets
If you like my preset, don't forget to like it. Thanks!
This is just an .ini file, you need to be on the latest version of ReShade to use this preset (
To install my file, place it in the DS3 data folder where the game .exe is located (D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game). To install ReShade:
1.) Download the latest version of ReShade. Once the download is complete, click on the ReShade installer and select Dark Souls 3.exe
2.) Select Game API, this is DX11. it should already be selected
3.) Select all .fx files and click OK to download them
4.) Click OK to install them Now ReShade should say successful.
5.) Close the ReShade installer. important! If the game won't launch, Crashes To Desktop or your controller isn't working properly - go into your Dark Souls 3 data folder (D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game) and rename the dxgi file to d3d11. To open the ReShade menu in game, press the Home (pos1) key on your keyboard and select My Preset from the drop-down menu. If My Files doesn't show up in the drop-down menu, you'll need to add it manually by pressing the + button next to the drop-down menu. Enter the full name of my file as follows: VintageSouls_ReShade.ini and press Enter. To close the ReShade menu, press the Home (pos1) key on your keyboard.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
