Mobile Settings MOD

V1.1.1 version:

Fixed transpose and unique weapon buff enablement.

  • Thanks to Abysswalker2412 for reporting this issue.

Requires Dark Souls Cheat Engine (shared on the Three Aunts MOD Station)

Changed the moveset of almost every weapon in DS III

This mod allows you to change the movement of almost every weapon in Dark Souls III. Most weapons have more than one new moveset, and only one can be enabled for each weapon at a time.

This mod is not intended for online use. Most changes in movement settings won't be seen by other players (they'll see the weapon's raw movement speed as weird), and may result in a ban.

To use it, make sure you have DS III running, have the latest CheatEngine installed (6.8.3 for this post), and have unzipped and opened the downloaded .CT file. Then just enable the moveset you want to use. As of 1.1, all inputs (except the original input for cutting weapons) are affected by moveset changes.

This mod also includes cutting weapons. These weapons are not entirely new items, but rather original inputs that replace existing weapons. Otherwise, these function the same as the movement settings changes, except: make sure to equip the appropriate weapon via the equipment menu, then enable cutting weapons (don't just switch weapons via the d-pad) to see the visual changes.

Catalysts, shields and bows will not be modified. I may upload separate mods for these in the future.

This is all that is necessary, the rest are just details. enjoy your meal!

This mod uses the Reverse Souls mod from the DS III modding Discord server (you don't need to download anything extra). It only uses EquipParamWeapon, Attack_Param_Pc and SpEffectVfxParam. Movement settings changes are limited to these parameters and what my CheatEngine skills allow.

Feel free to suggest new movesets, but keep in mind that many combinations are not possible due to the above limitations, and I only plan to add a few movesets that make sense (e.g. no Dagger R1 on Great Hammers).

Currently, mobile devices have not been extensively tested. Some things do weird damage, and a (very) few secondary hitters don't work (e.g. the second hit of some Halberd's 2HR2s). If I missed anything really bad, please let me know.

I eventually plan to add more cutting content and make it possible to enable all movement settings at the same time, use different movement settings on different weapon inputs, and more changing effects and balance. I could also add a short text tutorial on how to get started making your own mobile setup.

Also, if you know of some other ways to change mobile settings that I haven't used yet please let me know and I'll be happy to learn.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
