About this mod Machine translation

Irithyll Purple Star Skybox

Modified skybox in Irithyll/Anor Londo. Alter various aspects of the skybox, clouds and lighting by using changes to textures and gparam files.

Install:

Extract the contents of the "Irithyll Skybox" folder into the Dark souls 3/games folder. Merge tex_override and param folders.

This mod changes the skyboxes of Irithyll and Anor Londo. The color of the sky is now purple, the moon is bigger, the lighting has been changed, usually changing the blue tint to a slightly purple tint and a few other things. This is mostly just a proof of concept so I can get an idea of what I need to do in order to change the sky properly, since this is my first time trying to make a skybox mod. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite figure out the gparam file, so some objects still have a blue tint.

Note: To fully use this mod, you need to use IGP11 as the skybox texture.

Additionally, for lighting changes you need to unzip the file using UXM

Both are very easy to install and must be used with many other mods for Dark Souls 3.

To install this mod, first make sure you have both IGP11 and UXM installed.

Once done, simply drag the contents from the "Irithyll Skybox" folder into the Dark Souls 3/Game folder and overwrite when prompted.

That's it, you're done.

Make sure to run the game with IGP11 so you can see your installed texture mods. This mod is fully compatible with reshade as lighting changes are made to the game gparam files which have no effect on the conversion.

Hope some people like it, enjoy it.

Many thanks to TKGP for creating the UXM/Yabber and letting me know how to unpack the .gparam file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
