Balance MOD

Cheat Engine is not required to enable Poise, please do not use it online!

This mod will enable classic Poise like DS1 and DS2. By classic, I mean standing in balance too, no more Hyperarmor = BS. This mode is only compatible offline, by playing online you will risk being banned and I will not be responsible for any losses.

I know a lot of mods already do this, but none of them are tailored for vanilla players, so I decided to create one for vanilla lovers.

Thanks to Yapped creator, TKGP and Ashes modder, Xylozi. I'd like to thank Xylozi Unencrypted DS3 Mystique for allowing this mod to be made and don't forget to check out his total DS3 conversion mod, Cinders!

Install:

  • Download UXM. This is crucial for DS3 modifications.
  • Use UXM to decompress the game, check the decompression path and if set to target Sekiro, change it to the DS3 game directory.
  • After opening the game package, click "Patch". This is an important step to ensure that the mod works.
  • Download Data0.bdt and paste it into your game directory and overwrite the file, don’t forget to make the original backup first!

You settle in and enjoy the balance we never had!

Oh, and be aware that this mod will also affect NPCs, be prepared for a tough fight against Tsorig and Havel!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
