Ashborne - A gory inspired reimagining preset

V1.1 version:

Hotfix:

Layer.fx full screen issue fixed

Hello everyone,

Today I bring you my personal Dark Souls revamp 3, which is also the first revamp preset I made from scratch. ,

Ashborne is a Bloodborne Inspired Reshade designed to make the game look more like Darker and Gloomier, like you're playing an Action Horror game.

Keep in mind that using this resetting will increase your framerate slightly, and you'll get around 30 - 45 fps with maximum settings enabled depending on your rig.

If you don't like the rock overlay, you can disable it by pressing Page Up on your keyboard.

If you don't like the extra SSDO effect or the impact on your framerate, you can disable it by pressing Page Down on your keyboard. :

  • Download ReShade. (No download required, already included in the file)
  • Install ReShade 3 on Dark Souls.
  • Extract the archive contents and copy into the Dark Souls 3 directory, replacing layer.png if asked.
  • Start Dark Souls 3 and press the "Home" key to open the ReShade Overlay.
  • Select my "Ashborne.ini" preset.

6.Enjoy^^

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
