Weapons and Armor Skins
🎮 **Updated to version 0.1d! **
Hello everyone!
I've always found it a bit silly that after you upgrade your weapons and armor, they still look the same. So, I made this skin pack to give them a more in-game look.
I will continue to refine these skins and hopefully eventually have all the different combinations done, but it will take some time. Currently, I've done the following:
---
✨ Current module contains content
**Crusader Skin Pack**
- Broken Longsword Skin
- Long sword skin
- Explore long sword skins
- Greatsword skin
- "The Long Crusade" skin
*(Also includes modified/optimized scroll attack appearance)*
**Leprosy Skin Pack**
- Rusty Executioner's Sword skin
- Reforged Breastplate / Rusty Executioner's Sword Skin
- Reforged Breastplate / Sharpened Executioner's Sword Skin
**Bandit Skin Pack**
- Flintlock and Rusty Blade skins
---
📥 Installation Guide
- Download the skin pack file you want (for example, "Crusader Skin Pack").
- Extract the file contents to the corresponding hero folder.
- **Example**: `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DarkestDungeon\heroes\crusader`
- **IMPORTANT**: If you have installed other character skins, please make sure they are not identified by the same letters. If there is a conflict, just change the letter at the end of the skin file to an unused letter.
---
💡 **Warm reminder**
This is the first mod I've ever made and it's far from perfect. Everyone is welcome to leave feedback and suggestions for improvements! 😊
*(I haven't fully field-tested all the skins yet. If you notice any weird pixelation or other issues in the game, please leave a comment or start a discussion and I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.) *
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
