🧙♂️ Role positioning
The Warlock is a powerful **2 and 3 damage dealer** who also has **excellent healing capabilities**. Tired of having to rely on nuns for healing? Warlock provides you with a new choice!
---
⚡ Combat Skills
Warlock's skills combine damage, control and healing, and have various ways of playing:
- **⚡ Lightning Shock (Codename: Death)**: Causes damage to a random target and adds a **bleeding** effect. Deals extra damage to **marked** targets.
- **🖤 Black Magic**: Causes damage to a single target, **reduces its dodge and protection**, and pulls it **back 2 blocks**.
- **🌌 Cosmic Fear**: Causes damage to two targets and adds **Poison** effect.
- **🔥 Ignite**: Causes damage to two targets.
- **⛰️ Avalanche (Codename: Destruction)**: **Mark and stun** a target, and you will also be marked and **Reduce speed by 2 points (3 turns)**.
- **🧛 Blood-sucking attack**: Attack a target and **heal yourself**.
- **👻 Possession**: Provides **powerful treatment** to a target, and adds a **healing bonus** benefit to it, but will cause it to withstand **5~10 points of pressure**.
---
🏕️ Camp Skills
In the camp, Warlocks can also provide unique support to the team:
- **🩸 Bloodthirst** (costs 2 time): Provides **+25% damage bonus (lasts 4 battles)** to an ally, but the ally will **lose 20% health**.
- **💎 Magic** (costs 4 time): Provides **10% protection** to all companions. If the companion is **non-devout**, they will also receive an additional **-15% pressure damage** benefit.
- **😈 Demonology** (costs 4 time): Has a **66% chance** to restore 99% health and reduce 99 stress** to the warlock**, but **100% increases other allies' stress by 25**.
- **🧘 Meditation** (costs 2 time): Has a **50% chance** of reducing 15 stress** for the Warlock and all companions.

📥 Installation Guide
Installation is very easy! Simply copy the individual folders within the compressed package to the root directory of your Darkest Dungeon game (usually located at `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\`).
- 🟢 **IMPORTANT NOTE**: The Warlock 2.1 mod **does not require** editing the `effects.darkest` file, just copy and paste it to play.
- 💛 **Show correct text**: If you want to see the correct skill and hero names (instead of a blue code like `skill_name_death`), run the `localization.bat` file in the game's `localization` folder.
- *Note*: If you are using the Korean language patch, please **DO NOT** perform this step.
- 📸 ** Still have questions? ** The compressed package contains a `how to install.jpg` picture guide for your reference.
⚠️ **Suggestion**: It is always a good practice to back up your save files before installation.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
