Trapmaker Palettes and Variants

🎨 **Bring you a new visual experience for your trap maker hero! **

✨ Mod content

  • **4 NEW COLORS**: Added 4 additional color schemes for the original Trapmaker character.
  • **UNIQUE VARIANT**: Contains a carefully crafted variant for a different look.

🔧 Production details

I made some minor adjustments when making these recolored skins. I noticed that the back of the head/hat part of the original model was cropped during the idle and walking animations, so I fixed that. Additionally, other modifications were made, such as tucking the waistband in and adjusting the satchel to overlap the waistband.

The variant was inspired by visual effects that leveraged the character's base model - trap spikes tucked into the satchel instead of scrolls, and the sprites were redesigned for a slightly different style.

⚠️ Notes

  • **Tool Master Variant**: This variant is an experimental project and is not as cleaned up and optimized as the standard recolored version. Therefore, you may find some inconsistencies.
  • **About quality**: All my image editing knowledge comes from two 5-minute video tutorials (on how to recolor a green pepper and a flower😂). So, please keep an open mind about the quality of these skins.
  • **Hood Version**: The hood version will remain the previous file version as I think it needs further cleaning and optimization.

Hope you like these new looks! While the production process was challenging, it was also fun.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
