Koala's excellent mod has been color corrected, textured, and partially repainted to better match the art style of Darkest Dungeon.

Somber Koala’s Bio-Atlas - Visually Optimized Version

🎨 **Koala's Creature Atlas** is one of the best monster expansion packs for Darkest Dungeon. However, there is always room for improvement! In order to better integrate these creatures into the game world, I made a series of visual adjustments to their textures.

✨ Visual optimization overview

Most of the creature's textures have been lightly **desaturated** and **noise texture** added to bring them closer to the visuals of the original game. Plus, a few monsters even get **newly painted textures**!

Here are all the adjusted creatures and their changes:

• **Bat** - Noise texture added.
• **Blood Leech** - Adds noise and reduces saturation.
• **Gun-Holding Skeleton** - Noise texture added.
• **Eyeball Monster Series** - All desaturated.
• **Murloc Captain** - Adds noise and reduces saturation.
• **Fountain Statue** - Unmodified.
• **Fungus Deer** - **Newly painted textures! **
• **KCC Lair** - Noise texture added.
• **Screaming Bird** - **Newly painted textures! **
• **Sting Ray** - Adds noise and reduces saturation.
• **Pig Leader** - HD, adding noise and reducing saturation.
• **Pig Mount** - Adds noise and reduces saturation.

💡 **Tip**: You can check the comparison effect of the old and new textures in the picture area.

⚙️ Installation instructions

**Important Prerequisite**: This module requires the **original Koala's biological atlas** as the basis, because I only updated the textures, and all other assets still need to rely on the original module.

**Loading order**: Please load this mod on top of the **original KCC mod** so that my textures can overwrite the original textures.

After installing this optimized version, you will find that the newly added monsters no longer look "out of place". They perfectly integrate into the iconic dark, depressing and hand-painted artistic atmosphere of "Darkest Dungeon", making your dungeon exploration experience more immersive and unified!
