The Musician (monster mod) is now available in Darkest Dungeon. Inspired by American author H.P. Lovecraft's horror short story "The Music of Erich Zahn," this new boss battle includes two unique town battles (week 40 and post-week 60). If you survive stressful encounters, you may gain unique quirks and powerful trinkets.

🎭Mod details

The **Musician** is a boss that appears in towns after the town event **"The Sound of Madness"** occurs. This event first triggers after **week 40** and will trigger again after **week 60**.

• **First Defeat Reward**: **Astronomical Violin**
• **Second Defeat Reward**: **Amorphous Flute**

⚠️ **IMPORTANT WARNING**: Be careful when musicians show up! **Ignoring him or being defeated by him** will result in your town building **randomly losing 3 upgrades**!

**Amorphous Flute**

• **+20%** Stun skill chance
• **+40%** Debuff skill chance
• **-2** Speed
• **Missed**: Self pressure **+6**
• **When hit**: Buff target: Stun skill chance **+30%**
• **When Hit**: Debuff Target: Pressure **+20%**

**Astronomical Violin**

• **+7%** Critical hit rate
• **-2** Speed
• **Friendly Skill**: Target Pressure **-6**
• **When hit**: Buff self: Pressure skill effect **+20%**
• **When hit**: Torch value **-7**

**Set bonus**

• When the pressure value is higher than 20, 40 and 60, gain **+5** dodge and **+1** speed respectively.

🧠 Added new hero quirks

It's possible for your hero to gain one of two new quirks after fighting a musician:

• **Melody Memory**: For every 10 points the pressure value is higher than 30, the pressure will be **-10%**.
• **Unforgettable Note**: For every 15 points of stress, the stress healing received is **-10%**.
