Gleam of Hope ReShade
**The light of hope will penetrate the darkest dungeon...** ✨
"Glimmer of Hope" is a ReShade preset that contains a large number of Godrays and Bumpmapping effects, which can make your "Darkest Dungeon" look like an exquisite oil painting! In addition, it also has the **Eye Adaptation** function, which can simulate the process of real human eyes gradually adapting in the dark. The effect is particularly stunning when you light a torch! 🔥
Even in the darkest of times, there are still glimmers of hope. So, hold your ground and you will get through it! 💪

🛠️ Install ReShade presets
- **Download and unzip** my ReShade module files to the game installation directory.
- *How to find the installation directory? * Right-click the game in the Steam library and select "Manage" > "Browse Local Files".
- After placing the module file into the directory, open the **ReShade program** from the desktop and let it automatically detect the game.
- Click on the detected game and click "Next" twice.
- Click "**Deselect All**" at the top, then click "Browse" to select my ReShade preset file in the file browser.
- Click Next and complete the installation! 🎉
🎮 Run the game
- After opening the game, a loading bar will appear at the top of the screen. **To avoid game lag, please do not press any keys during this period. ** If the loading bar does not appear, it means you selected the wrong rendering API when installing ReShade and need to reinstall ReShade for the game.
- After loading is complete, press the **HOME button** to skip the tutorial, and then click the folder icon at the top (refer to the picture below).
- After selecting this module preset, ReShade will load and apply its effects to your game.
**⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE: ** ReShade must be installed before this mod can take effect. Please do not uninstall ReShade unless you no longer use this mod.

💡 Tips for use
- **Note:** If you feel that the white light effect is too bright, you can **increase the exposure** or **reduce the attenuation range of the halo** to adjust according to your personal preference.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
