About this mod Machine translation
A modified config file that removes most of the negative effects of wonder items.
Happy Curios
The game itself is hard enough, so why bother with rewards? I decided to try some simple changes to take some of the load off while keeping the mechanics and gameplay the same.
✨ Module function
This is a modified `curio_type_library.csv` configuration file that removes most of the negative results for oddities. In order to preserve the game's background to a certain extent and avoid introducing errors, I kept the 4 or 5 strange objects that always bring bad results unchanged.
🔍 How to identify dangerous objects?
You'll need to look carefully at the modified file itself, or consult the **Steam Strange Item Guide** to find out which items always have bad consequences.
🛠️ Production and installation
- **Basic**: I modified the file following the **Red Hook Studios Official Modding Guide**.
- **Installation method**: You only need to replace the `/Steam/steamapps/DarkestDungeon/curios/curio_type_library.csv` file with this file.
⚠️ Notes
- I've done some testing, but there may still be errors in the file. **Be sure to back up the original file before replacing or further modifying it! **
- If you find any errors, please leave a message and I will try my best to fix it.
- If you find this module useful, please leave a message and let me know! :)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
