Deterministic damage and healing value
🎯 **Remove randomness and take control of the battle! ** This mod is designed to make Darkest Dungeon's combat calculations more stable and predictable.
✨ Core Functions
- **Flat Damage and Healing**: All weapon damage and healing skills now deal a constant amount, approximately equal to the average in the original game (rounded up). Say goodbye to frustrating damage swings!
- **Guaranteed Pressure Attacks**: Most skills that cause pressure (pressure attacks) now have a 100% hit rate. For balance, its effect size has been reduced accordingly.
- 🧙♂️ **The Banshee’s Song of Desire** now always successfully charms the hero.
- ⚠️ **NOTE**: The fear effect caused by the Ghoul's Howl can still be resisted.
- **Exception**: In order to maintain game balance, a few healing skills retain some randomness to prevent them from being overly enhanced.
⚖️ Balance adjustments and exceptions
The mod carefully adjusts the values, but in order to maintain the design intent and balance of specific skills, the following exceptions are retained:
- **Antiquarian's Fortified Mist**: Still fluctuates between 1-2 points at level 2, and between 2-3 points at level 4.
- **Crusader's Cry of Inspiration**: The middle level still fluctuates between 1-2 points.
- **Plague Doctor's Battlefield Healing**: Still fluctuates between 1-2 points at level 1, and between 2-3 points at level 3.
- **Occult Scholar's Reconstruction of Another World**: There are still large fluctuations, but compared to the original version, the fluctuation range has been roughly halved.
🔍 **Important Note**: This mod **does not change** hit chance and critical hit chance, so combat is not completely "deterministic" and you still need to manage these risks.

📜 Update log
**Version 2.03**
- Fixed hero overlay file to work properly.
**Version 2.02**
- Combined enemy and hero versions into one mod. The standalone version is still available as an alternative download.
- Enemy-only mods will no longer correct the "Chaotic Roar" value.
**Version 2.01**
- Master Hound's **Chaos Roar** is now also deterministic. Stress healing reduced by 1 per level, but now always triggers.
**Version 2.00**
- Now a standard mod that can be enabled directly in the save menu.
- Use `.override` files instead of `.info` files instead to improve clarity and compatibility with other mods.
- Restored the volatility of **Augmented Mist**, **Inspiring Shout** and **Battlefield Heal**. Especially for battlefield medical, in order to fix its value and provide improvement when upgrading, it resulted in excessive power growth.

💡 **Usage Suggestions**: If you're tired of "nearly" killing enemies or being cheated by a low-roll healer, this mod is perfect for you. It can bring a more stable and strategic planning-oriented game experience, allowing you to focus more on lineup matching and resource management, rather than praying for luck to be on your side.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
