Bounty Hunter and Abomination Skins: Fox and Werewolf

🎨 **Two unique character skins to add a new look to your Darkest Dungeon adventure! **

✨ Skin Introduction

This mod contains two original skins:

  • **Bounty Hunter - Fox Theme Skin** 🦊
  • **Abomination - Werewolf themed skin** 🐺

The author originally made these skins for himself and now decided to share them with the community. Both skins have been tested on game version `19970`.

🦊 Bounty Hunter skin details

This skin is the author's first work more than a year ago and is based on original art, so there are some known issues:

  • **Size Adjustment**: The sprite size has been reduced for better fit, but some edges may still be slightly cropped.
  • **Walking Animation**: The original animation wasn't supposed to show the bounty hunter's legs at all, so it will look a little weird in this skin. The author has tried his best to optimize, but further improvements cannot be made without a complete remake.
  • **Skill Special Effects**: Some attack special effects (such as "**Collect Bounty**" or "**Death Mark**") may not be displayed accurately. The only solution is to endure or make the attack effects invisible.

🐺 Hate skin details

The skin combines original art with existing game assets from characters like Zealot, Leper, Abomination, and Crusader. Its transformation form is partly based on the werewolf image in a mod for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim".

It suffers from similar but milder issues as the first skin:

  • **Slight Cropping**: Some edges are cropped, but barely visible.
  • **Skill Special Effects**: The display of some attack special effects (such as "**Absolution**") may be inaccurate.

📥 Installation method

Installation is very easy!

  • Place the file directly into your Darkest Dungeon game installation folder.
  • Alternatively, if you only want to install one of the skins, you can place the corresponding file directly into the game's `heroes` folder.

💡 **Tip**: Enjoy these unique looks to bring a touch of novelty to your dungeon crawling!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
