Assire Var Anahid - Occultist skin
🎮 **A gorgeous skin mod inspired by The Witcher series! **
---
✨ Module Introduction
"The mages of Nilfgaard have only two choices: grovel or the gallows."
This is an additional skin for the **Occultist** inspired by the Nilfgaardian sorceress **Assire Var Anahid** and her cat **Merlin**. The design refers to the style of "The Witcher 2" and strives to maintain the original visual tone of "Darkest Dungeon".
*(The original painting comes from CDPR's "The Witcher: Gwent Card Game", yes, the card art of the game is so awesome!)*
---
🎭 Skin content
This mod contains two versions of skins:
- **Standard Edition**: Contains Asiel and her cat Merlin.
- **Cat-less version**: Removed Merlin and replaced it with the original mystic scholar's skull and candle.
**Installation Instructions**:
- The current skin occupies the texture positions of **`Occultist_R`** and **`Occultist_W`**.
- Please rename the file manually if it conflicts with other mods.
- Based on the original art of the game.

⚠️ Known issues and future plans
**Current Issue**
- Some skill special effects are not in harmony with Merlin's model, and they work better with skulls.
- This problem stems from the original special effects. The modification will affect all mystic scholar skins, so it cannot be adjusted temporarily.
- Combat animation may undergo some optimization in the future.
**Future Outlook**
- Plans to improve combat animations and certain detail areas.
- Modification of the original skin is sometimes quite challenging, and it is not easy to make the animation run so smoothly now.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
