walkman mod
Listen to radio stations on foot
Translator: There is no way to increase or decrease the volume of a custom radio station. This is not a bug. There is no need to panic. Moreover, after switching the original radio station to increase or decrease the volume, the volume of the custom radio station cannot be changed.
Install:
Download and install CET
Download mod
Extract the folder to your Cyberpunk game folder (the folder containing /bin and /r6)
The folder structure should be "PATHTOCYBERPUNK\Cyberpunk2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\portableRadio\init.lua"
How to use:
Use the CET binding menu to set hotkeys to turn the radio HUD on and off
(Optional): Set hotkeys to quickly turn the radio on and off without using the HUD
Open the HUD using the hotkey you set previously
Use your mouse wheel up/down (whatever your next/previous weapon buttons are) and your interact key (usually F) to navigate up/down and interact with the HUD
When using the native UI option, select the "No Station" option to disable the radio, select any station to start playing, and then use the "Volume Up"/Down hotkey to control the volume
Settings (open CET console display):
HUD Scale: Change the scale of the ImGui HUD
UI type: Choose between native radio popup or custom HUD
Volume increase during combat: Changes how much volume increases during combat
Autohide HUD timer: Change the number of seconds the HUD hides when not interacted with
Disabled in vehicle: does exactly what it says
HUD interaction/scroll sound: turn on/off click sound
Default Radio Station: Change the station that plays when you first activate the mod after starting the game
Known issues:
Royal Blue Radio and Samizdat Radio are currently unavailable
The sound quality is pretty good, but not as good as a car radio
When battle music starts playing, the audio becomes muffled. Once the battle music stops playing, just wait for a moment and the sound will return to normal within the next minute or so.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
