Download this mod
Unzip this mod's folder into your Cyberpunk Game folder (the folder containing /bin and /r6)
The folder structure should be "PATHTOCYBERPUNK\Cyberpunk2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\nanoDrone\init.lua"
IMPORTANT: Make sure to set the movement keys (WASD, up/down) in the CET input tab
To purchase a drone, visit any ripperdoc in the game world and open their shop window as usual. Click the "NanoDrone" button above the player's head to open the purchase window. (Purchases are stored with save files)
After purchasing the Tier 1 version, you can repeat the above process to upgrade your drone to Tier 4
Images of all 4 tier stats can be found in the images section of this mod page
After purchasing the drone, press and hold "Quick Melee" (Q) to deploy the drone (requires at least 20% battery)
Press "C" to recall the drone. After being recalled, it will start charging the battery
Use the input keys you set previously to control the drone
Use scan mode (Tab key, like the usual kiroshi eye scanner) to mark and unencrypt objects/NPCs
Tier 3 of the drone unlocks the ability to open doors (base battery cost is 8% for normal doors, 30% for locked doors)
The cost of each hacking action (quick hack and door interaction) using a drone is the base cost (fast hack's RAM) multiplied by the quick hack cost multiplier (higher drone level: lower cost)
When out of range of drone (higher drone level: higher range) it will automatically recall after 5 seconds
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
