Take a Breather - Pace and Reputation Overhaul

🌆 Background settings

In Night City, you are no longer the center of the universe.

Middlemen, clubs and mercenary brokers no longer assign tasks to just anyone. Some tasks will be put on hold, some stories will take time to develop, and text messages will be delayed in response. Night City is mired in chaos—social unrest, overpopulation, corporate corruption—and no one cares about a nobody's ambition to climb the ladder.

As public infrastructure collapses and street violence escalates, the city, under covert pressure from major corporations, launches a new "city control" plan: **Social Pass**.

🎯 Core Functions

Social Pass System

Key locations in Night City—such as prosthetics, clubs, apartments, and key services—now require a minimum street cred to enter. Before you can reap the rewards of the city, you must first earn respect.

Story rhythm overhaul

Main quests, side quests and commissions no longer appear all at once. Timed events and street cred milestones create meaningful narrative pauses for slower, more immersive gameplay.

These changes dynamically interact with the world. For example, you don't meet Jack immediately after your first visit with Victor - he and Misty are clearing their chakra. Jack will text you when he's ready.

Completely contextual messages from characters like Jack, Victor, Jackass, Brick, and more are seamlessly integrated into the in-game communication system, making delays feel natural and not artificial.

Middleman Delegate Rebalancing

Delegation has been restructured. Each intermediary now has custom street cred requirements based on their personality, regional influence, and relationship with V. In the original game, only Rogge and Muama had real requirements - this mod changes that.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE

  • **STRONGLY RECOMMENDED** Starting a new game to experience the pacing and access system in the design
  • **Not recommended** Uninstalling this mod mid-game, it will affect many vanilla missions and locations
  • If you have used the **VIP** mod before, make sure to follow the uninstall instructions on its page

💡 Extra behaviors and skills

  • **Afterlife** will be locked after the "Heist" mission
  • **Monster Hunting** commission can be completed even if you cannot enter Hehe
  • Certain content will only be unlocked after completing at least one mission for Dino
  • Apartments available through **EZEstates** after completing Buying Time

📥 Installation instructions

Extract the file to the root directory of "Cyberpunk 2077":

```...\steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077
```

🚫 Uninstall warning

This module deeply modifies the core mission logic. If you must uninstall:

  • Run the following command in CET to temporarily unlock all content:

```
Game.SetLevel("StreetCred", 42, 1)
```

  • Wait for 24 hours of in-game time
  • Run the command again using your actual street cred level
  • Save the game and uninstall the mod

Without following this process, many locations will remain locked or damaged.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
