About this mod Machine translation

**Create your own courtier**

Populate your court with your own creative characters!

Build-a-Courtier allows you to easily add non-ruler characters to your court during gameplay. You can promote them, sacrifice them, marry them – whatever you want.

**How to use**

  • Start the game normally
  • Press ESC
  • Click to switch roles
  • Select "Create your own courtier"
  • Design new courtiers according to your requirements - they will be automatically placed in the court of your last ruler and have their own mini-dynasty
  • Select your original character again, or simply press ESC to return to the game
  • Continue the game

Note: Since this mod hijacks the Ruler Designer, the next time you open it (for example, to create another court member), it will remain in the same state as when you last closed it - i.e. still loaded with the character you created previously. Just overwrite them - this won't change the character you've already put into the game, it's just a consequence of the fact that I know of no universal "Reset Ruler Designer" option.

Also, if you're wondering what happens when you use this in the new game settings interface: it will just create an explorer if you're not already playing as a ruler.

**compatibility**

Do not enable this mod with any other mod that overrides the file gui/multiplayer_types.gui. Doing so will overwrite changes from mods earlier in the load order. Most TC mods may have issues due to this.

It also conflicts with Ruler Designer Unlocked, as it uses a similar approach to making buttons work during game play by modifying the UI files. So please support Hades in RDU – this wouldn’t be possible without their work.

Hades: If you have an issue with this mod's existence, please let me know.

**What is this function actually? **

Basically, the ruler designer only creates rulers (duh) - however, this mod remembers which ruler the player currently controls. The noble creation tool pretends to create a landless adventurer (a LAAMP), but immediately strips them of their title upon creation and forcibly conscripts them to your ruler's court (where they deserve it) - well, fresh court members using the ruler designer's beautiful interface.

PS: Apologies for the cheap AI logo.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
