Remove Cooldown Remove Cooldown (1.20 refurbished version)
==============================================================
Original author: BlackShip (Creative Workshop 2217450952)
Refurbished adaptation: CK3 1.20.0.2 (Crozier)
Renovated workshop ID: 3810698737
【What does this mod do】
Remove various "you have to wait several years after using it once" cooldowns in the game:
- 10 large-scale activities (chariot_race / debate / hike /
imperial_examination imperial examination / inspection inspection / local_examination rural examination /
monument_expedition monument expedition / tour parade / tournament tournament /
university_visit study tour)
- Cooling down of various decisions (including knighthood, religious decisions)
- Cooldown for character interactions
- 5 year cooldown for family vision tgp_mandala_devaraja
【How to use】
- Point the "Remove Resolution Cooldown" decision on your character (mark yourself with RC_set).
- The cooldown of all subsequent script value moves will be reset to zero on this character.
- Want to use it on others: use character interaction to point at the other person.
⚠️ Known mechanism limitations
This mod relies on a hidden event that fires once a month to clear cooldown markers.
After switching playing roles, you need to click the "Remove Resolution Cooldown" decision again.

1.20.0.2 (Crozier) Adaptation Records - Version 2.1
==============================================================
1.20 Made a lot of changes to common/activities/activity_types/*.txt
(Single file ranges from 36 to 304 lines), 10 activity bases of this mod + house_aspirations
All have been regenerated according to the 1.20 original version, and the cooling patch has been re-added.
Continuing to use the old copy of 1.19 will roll back all these official new content of 1.20:
- ai_activity_coronation_check (AI judgment of coronation activity)
- activity_system.0550/0551 (processing events when activities are interrupted/rescheduled)
- tour_vassals_to_visit list logic
- Override of treasury determination of is_theocracy / has_treasury
- has_personal_tenet_flag = tenet_vows_of_poverty_humble_host and other new decisions
Review results (unchanged in 1.20, so script_values does not need to be changed):
- The writing method and value of the top-level cooldown of each activity are exactly the same as those in 1.19
debate 5 years / hike 18 months / inspection 2 years
local_examination,monument_expedition 3 years
chariot_race, tour, tournament 10 years / university_visit 20 years
- standard_playdate_cooldown_time = 1095
standard_witch_ritual_cooldown_time = 1825
Both are still pure numbers (unit: days) at 1.20, unchanged
【1.20 Rite system】
1.20 Added common/religion/rite_types, rite_icons, rite_names directories,
Religious tenets/doctrines are moved from the faith layer to the rite layer:
Old way of writing: faith = { has_doctrine_parameter = X }
New writing method: rite = { rite_has_parameter = X }
At the same time, trait_is_criminal_in_faith_trigger has been officially deleted and changed to
trait_is_criminal_in_rite_trigger (new RITE = parameter).
This mod does not involve religious links and will not be affected.

Differences from the old version 1.19 (original author’s version)
==============================================================
The original method is to overwrite the entire old version of the file and roll back the official changes of the current version.
This refurbished version is changed to: use the current version of the original file as the base, only change the "cooling" part,
The remaining bytes remain completely official to ensure compatibility to the greatest extent.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
