This is my Discord loading order, the bottom position should be compatible with any mod. Changes ---------Lighting and Atmosphere • Overcast replaces the permanent sun cube map - grey, northern, suitable for the background • Ambient light cuts sharply and shadows become shadows again, rather than soft gray patches • Sunlight hits the terrain, territory and trees - long shadows reveal the shape of the land • The colors of the sun are pushed to pure white and boosted intensity, keeping the light and shadow faces bright while everything else deepens the terrain • Give detail textures real contrast through curves, deepening mid-tones without overwhelming anything • The color map is only sharpened at brightness - hills, coastlines and field borders are clearly visible at every zoom, with no color fringing • Restrained global gradients, taking the map away from postcard saturation. Forest • The height of trees has been increased by 25%, scaling from the base of the trunk to stay rooted to the ground • Vegetation lighting and shadows have been redesigned so that the canopy can capture light clump by clump instead of the flat card map view. The forest finally has depth. And not just up-close portraits • Paint smoothing turned off – no more waxy, over-blended faces • New sharpening process based on full 3×3 Gaussian samples, rather than cheap 4-point versions, detail is restored cleanly, with no halos around eyes and jawline • Cloth, chain mail, embroidery and beard details are clearly visible again
