Genius - character skills overhaul
天才 - 角色技能大改
About this mod Machine translation
Compatible with version 1.19. Module version: 1.0.1 File abbreviation: pdyProdigy - The character skill overhaul is a comprehensive improvement of the five main skills in "Crusader Kings 3", aiming to give the character more obvious strengths and weaknesses. Each skill now also comes with a corresponding commander modifier, inspired by Europa Universalis 5's ability system. To further enrich each character's strengths and weaknesses, the mod includes an optional gameplay system called Passion and Apathy, which adds skill ambitions, loosely inspired by ambitions in Crusader Kings 2, to provide short-term goals to further improve the character. The contents of the mod are shown below.

Highlights
diplomatic
Knights are now related to diplomacy, and like my previous mod, represent your ability to command others, and their willingness to follow you.
The knight cap now has a negative offset, making it possible for some characters to have 0 knights.
Children will have a lack of prestige as they grow up. Counteract this by granting them fiefdom titles or finding other sources of prestige.
Commanders with lower diplomacy will lose more when retreating.
Martial
Now, samurai and samurai are related, just like in my other mods.
To give Travel Options and other channels more weight, Travel Safety has been removed from Martial.
Commanders with high force are very deadly when it comes to winning battles.
manage
levies are now related to management roles in my other mods.
To give travel options and other resources more weight, travel speed has been removed from management.
Commanders with high management skills will have more supplies.
conspiracy
The conspiracy modifier now has …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
