【Patch Notes】
Detailed
Worlds 1.2
Basic features
1.
There are no more small patches of desert on the map, and while the deserts will be roughly the same area, they tend to be more united, resulting in a few larger desert areas rather than many scattered desert tiles. (Petra is awesome)
2.
Redo the rainforest placement. There are no ugly patches of rainforest at the equator! Rainforest/Jungle placement is now more dependent on the base map and will be more frequent in certain areas. Rivers and coastal areas can have large areas of rainforest. The total number of rainforest plots is the same as the default script (affected by rainfall options).
3.
A more complicated coastline.
In addition to this, there are 5 new map types, more granular map types
Mainland -
fine
Fractal - Fine
Pangea -
fine
Small continent - fine
Islands -
fine
In addition to basic functionality, the detailed version of the map script has the following features:
- Less snow. Snow is useless for most civilizations, so there is less snow. (Russia fainted from crying in the toilet)
2.99.9% chance of traveling around the world by boat. (low sea level may be more difficult)
- Add coastal details. More complex coastlines, more bays, and islands make each plot more interesting to explore. That’s right
Don't be surprised if an ocean suddenly appears in the middle of an ancient continent.
- Rivers are now affected by rainfall options. More rainfall means more rivers.
It should be noted that this is a small continent type. The larger the map itself, the more obvious the map will be. Players will be distributed on multiple small continents.
【Instructions for use】
- Unzip
- Copy all files to the game root directory (it is recommended to back up the original files)
- Start the game
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
