Lord Orlais's Will for the 8s War Mod.
Version 1001
- 55 new buildings with new modifiers associated with them.
- These new buildings affect everything from gold and culture to bonus combat power.
- New construction in Serval will also assist housing and growth
2 new districts
- Business District - Early empire available and has many new buildings.
- The commercial center is now a financial district
- Souq, is unique to Egypt and replaces the commercial district.
46 new technologies 6 new citizens
- Redesigned technology tree with two research paths. The top of the tree is set towards the more passive inward building of the empire while the bottom of the tree is oriented towards those who wish to fight and conquer.
- Every new technological advancement is associated with a new great scientist, and of course all of Neil Degrasse Tyson's great modern scientists.
- 6 new citizens also make the citizen tree consistent with technology theory. The top of the building is inward and the bottom is outward. New policies along with new citizens, food from all cities plus bonuses for fighting against city-states.
new game speed
- 4 new game speeds, using the technology/civic tree's tier system. Each layer of the tree becomes more expensive with age.
Redesigned resources and improvements
- Resources taken from mines can now only spawn in mountains, not tusks in tundra, or nitrates in floodplains
- Unique improvements have been updated so they cannot be next to each other, thus helping to limit spam. Looking at you Tomyris
Moar Unit
- Many new units for each civilization.
- New basic naval units
- Update upgrade path
- New set of settlers called nomadic settlers. This unit can never be built and has more sight and movement than a regular settler.

- Adjusted new building units and building costs to ensure GPT management challenges
- Updated Crater Lake and Dead Sea to add more food and make them more viable settlements.
- Updated
Anchor and Machine Gunner range to 2 - Adjusted builder and settler boarding locations to accommodate the new technology tree.
- Adjusted city growth mechanics to feel more historically accurate. Growth was slower until the Industrial Revolution, so regional selection in each city was more important
- Adjusted war exhaustion so that wars are more likely to occur in each era.
*New icon
- All new technologies and citizens have their own custom icons to add personal flavor and eye candy!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
