Sukritact's Civ Selection Screen Civilization Selection Screen

Apparently, a bunch of people were annoyed by the fact that Civ selection was handled via a tiny dropdown; so I decided to make a nice custom screen to solve this problem.

Same with JFD's "True Alternative Leader". You'll play as the de facto leaders of the civilizations they control. Screen has no problem handling multiple leaders or leaders with extra independence. This pseudo-mode leaves the advanced settings screen unchanged.

To install, unzip the archive contents directly into the following folder in the civ 6 directory. (steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Assets\UI\FrontEnd) It will ask you to replace/merge some files, just say yes. The download includes a backup of the file I'm replacing in case you want to change it.

And along the lines of JFD's 'True Alternate Leaders'. The actual leader you will be playing as are sorted under the civilization they control. The screen has no problem handling multiple leaders, or leaders with additional uniques. The Advanced Setup screen remains unchanged by this pseudo-mod

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
